Botulinum Toxin Injection Guide

Botilinum toxin is used frequently by physiatrists for the treatment of patients with migraines, tics, spasms, dystonia, hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), and pain. Botulinum Toxin Injection Guide by Ib R. Odderson, MD, PhD, is the first comprehensive manual that covers botulinum toxin injections for neurologic conditions and their wide range of practical applications.

A useful tool for new injectors and well as physicians currently using Botulinum Toxin who want to expand into new areas, Botulinum Toxin Injection Guide is also a must-have for residents in neurology and physical medicine and rehabilitation. Facing pages in this handy, portable manual show dosage and dilutions for BTX-A and BTX-B, injections sites and techniques, current guidelines, anatomical illustrations, and references for further reading. Billing and reimbursement codes, related rating scales, and clinical data forms are provided. BTX contacts, resources, and safety information are also provided. This comprehensive and extremely practical user guide includes:

  • Anatomic illustrations of the muscles to inject from origin to insertion, which enhance the comprehension of the anatomy and of the main muscles that move the joints
