GIS: The ArcPad Way is the perfect tool for geographic
information system (GIS) professionals who require mobility for
fieldwork and transient data collection and analysis. Mobile GIS is
radically changing the way users can work with GIS since it is no
longer tied to the desktop. The rapid growth in the capability of
mobile devices has made it possible to take the power of GIS
wherever it is needed. Mobile GIS: The ArcPad Way is about
what users can accomplish when they have access to GIS away from
the office. They can collect data in the field, check out data
whenever they need it and carry it with them, or download data over
wireless networks when away from the desktop.
