DHTML: Learning by Example

The book is an introduction to the basics of DHTML. It briefly describes in plain language, the HTML elements and attributes, and then compares HMTL versions 3.2 and 4. The Microsoft Document Object Model (DOM) is covered. The Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) hierarchical model is explored using HTML and XML examples, followed by the client-side scripting using JavaScript and VBScript. Finally, the last third of the book illustrates dynamic scripting by combing CSS DO, and JavaScript. There are 26 examples presented with detailed explanations, along with many other coding illustrations. Theory, tips, and new concepts are introduced along the way, both in the body of the text and in the examples.
